Rediscover Il Fornaio

While working so close in proximity to Il Fornaio for nearly nine years now, the restaurant has become a main staple for quick grab-and-go sandwich from their lunch window, or from time to time a nice sit-down leisurely meal. On a recent weeknight, I had the opportunity to dine in and I was reminded of their clever regional menu approach, delivering food and wine samplings from different regions in Italy, characterized each with their own locally inspired delicacies.

This place is super cheap and pretty good too. This is what you get for under 5 bucks!!! Beat that all you $15 a plate joints!!! I've been coming here for years and it's one of my regular spots for us poor folks. It's on Broadway right across from the DMV headquarters.

Zazon Guadalajara Grill on Fruitridge

I showed up for happy hour and had the carne asada nachos. They were pretty good and the chips were fresh and crispy. They put a little money into the decor and it looks great. I was impressed with the salsa too.
