ELK GROVE, CA - The (7) Sheldon Huskies opened up the Section Playoffs with a lopsided 71-51 win over the (10) Beyer Patriots of Modesto, on Tuesday night.
With their seventh straight victory, the Huskies advance to Thursday's second round in the Division I Section Playoffs and will head to Fairfield to face (2) Armijo, who beat Elk Grove's (15) Franklin Wildcats 70-44 on Tuesday night.
Losers of two straight games, Beyer exits the playoffs with an overall record of 21-4 under head coach Paul Basey.
