CHP motorcycle officer hurt in collision | News

SACRAMENTO, CA - The California Highway Patrol says one of their officers injured when he crashed on his motorcycle late Tuesday morning was going to be OK.
The officer was traveling on northbound Stockton Boulevard when he broad-sided a green Mercedes pulling out of the China Town Plaza parking lot in the area of Gordon Drive about 11:35 a.m., according to Officer Michael Bradley. The officer was going about 30 mph and flew off his bike but maintained consciousness, Bradley said.
An ambulance was sent to take the officer to UC Davis Medical Center. Bradley said the officer had a possibly fractured arm, facial lacerations and was in pain but was expected to fully recover.
There was no word on if the driver of the Mercedes was hurt.
Stockton Boulevard between McMahon Drive and Jansen Drive in was closed to traffic for the investigation and crash debris clean-up.
