Abandoned Sacramento house damaged in fire
SACRAMENTO - An abandoned house on the 7500 block of Elder Creek Road was burned in a fire Monday morning, and crews on scene said this wasn't the first time the home had burned.
According to a Sacramento Fire Dept. Battalion Chief on scene, crews were called to the boarded-up house at 5:30 a.m.
Crews had the fire contained by 6:32 a.m.
Nobody was inside the home at the time, but firefighters said neighbors believed squatters had been residing in the dwelling.
No information was provided on the cause of the fire.
The Battalion Chief said the same home had caught fire before.
