Sacramento Police Department conducting DUI enforcement operations starting Friday

On Friday, March 16, officers will patrol areas within the city limits looking for impaired drivers.  It will begin at 8:00 p.m. and run until 3 a.m. 

On Saturday, March 17, the Sacramento Police Department will be hosting a regional DUI enforcement operation as part of the “Avoid the Capitol 17” DUI campaign. Officers from several local police departments will patrol areas within the city limits looking for impaired drivers.  It will begin at 7:00 p.m. and run until 3 a.m. Both operations will occur regardless of the weather conditions.

Remember, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Report Drunk Drivers. Call 911.

In 2010, over 10,000 people were killed nationally in motor vehicle traffic crashes that involved at least one driver or motorcycle rider with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08% or higher.

National Pancake Day Returns To Benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

WHAT:              For the seventh consecutive year, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes on National Pancake Day in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.        

WHY:                For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
