Isleton Cajun & Blues Festival Moves To Delta Loop

Isleton Cajun & Blues Festival Moves To Delta Loop

The Isleton Cajun & Blues Festival has moved to a new location for the 2014 event. Still in Isleton, technically, but not in the city limits anymore. They have moved to the Delta Loop which is just a few minutes away. The event location is at the B&W Resort Marina and Boat storage. The Isleton Chamber of Commerce resurrected the festival in 2011 after the "Isleton Crawdad Festival" was disbanded along with the old Chamber that promoted it for years.

The business owners and residents of the delta loop have welcomed the festival with open arms and the "entire atmosphere and positive attitude is making a world of difference" said Jean Yakatobi, event foreperson.  With the marinas and docking availability the Loop is opening a whole new avenue for boaters and yachts to come from the bay area which will enhance the "family friendly"  direction the Chamber has achieved.

The Sacramento Self-Help Housing non-profit organization is proud to present the 12th Annual “Let Them Eat Cake” fundraising event at The Grand Ballroom (1215 J Street in Sacramento) on Monday evening, July 14, 2014.  The community is invited to celebrate the delectable culinary experience of the French by attending the delightfully unique event that showcases sampling of Sacramento’s finest French foods, tasting outstanding local wines and beverages, listening to entertaining live music, viewing amazing artworks by local artists and, of course, feasting their eyes on magnificent and mouth-watering cakes created by talented local bakeries and chefs.  Each year, the “Let Them Eat Cake!” fundraising event is scheduled on or near Bastille Day (note that Marie Antoinette is credited with coining the memorable “Let Them Eat Cake” phrase shortly before the French Revolution).
