SOUTH SACRAMENTO, CA - A 47-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday morning while crossing Stockton Boulevard at Dias Avenue.
Lt. Don Rehm of the Sacramento Police Department said the man was hit around 6:53 a.m. and suffered severe head trauma. He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center where he was listed as being in critical condition, Rehm said.
The victim's identity was not released.
The driver was described as an Asian man, aged 36 to 42 years old, with a medium build and facial hair. He was driving a small, dark gray vehicle that could have been a Prius, said Rehm.
