'Breakfast in My Neighborhood' - and the Winner is?

With 'Breakfast in My Neighborhood' News10 viewers get a chance to decide where News10 Good Morning co-anchor Keba Arnold will be live during the following Friday's 5 and 6 a.m. newscasts.

Voting began last Friday morning Aug. 2 and ended Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m.

The winner was announced Wednesday, Aug. 7 on News10 Good Morning.

Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School to receive $2,000 from Big Lots Lots2Give video contest

Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School has won a $2,000 third place prize in the Big Lots Lots2Give video contest.  Harris will be recognized at a check presentation at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 at the Big Lots store in South Sacramento (6630 Valley Hi Drive, Sacramento 95823).

Hiram Johnson West Campus make Sac Biz Journal's list of top Sacramento schools

The Sacramento Business Journal created a list of the “Sacramento region’s 25 smartest public schools by SAT scores," and Hiram Johnson West Campus made the list.

According to the report, West Campus ranked number 22, with an average SAT score of 1585 out of 2400 in the 2010-11 school year. The school’s rating dropped from rank No. 20the year before.

Congratulations to all of the West Campus students whose SAT scores contributed to the ranking!

Ubuntu Green is excited to announce our Summer Garden Workshop Series! These workshops are FREE and open to everyone.

All workshops are from 9:00-11:00am at the Ubuntu Urban Garden, 14th Avenue and 44th Street (behind Home Cash Market). Light refreshments will be provided.
