PG&E empowers youth through employment

Applications can be turned in at the Raley Teen Center in Downtown or the Teichert Branch in South Sacramento.

This summer, many students in the Sacramento area will be taking advantage of a wonderful opportunity sponsored by PG&E and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento. The PG&E Summer Jobs Program is back for a second time to teach Sacramento’s youth skills in job readiness and employ 55 of them over the course of 6 weeks.

This week's 'Breakfast in My Neighborhood' poll asked News10 viewers to decide what the News10 morning crew will be eating this Friday, Feb. 7 during our 5 and 6 a.m. live newscasts.

They will be enjoying breakfast and meeting local residents at Carol's Restuarant in West Sacramento. 

Voting began Monday - Feb. 3 and ended Wednesday - Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.

Morning co-anchor Dan Elliott and traffic anchor Melissa Crowley will be live at Carol's Restaurant from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and we'd like to know how you think the morning crew should start the day.

Voting ends Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m., so cast your vote right away!

The winning dish will be announced Thursday on News10 Good Morning.

‘Tis the season to give thanks for hanging out with the Governor in his childhood home!

Last month, GOTG had the incredible honor of attending the Governor’s “Light Up the Night” event  at the 16 and H Street Mansion (Facebook).

California State Parks and the California State Historic Governor’s Mansion Foundation held a special unveiling of the completion of the third floor restoration project, the installation of a state-of-the-art outdoor lighting system and a new environmentally-friendly irrigation system for the Mansion gardens.
