36TH ANNUAL SACRAMENTO MOTORCYCLE TOY RUN | Community Spirit
The official Christmas season will kick-off for many motorcycle enthusiasts on Sunday, November 25th when they participate in Sacramento’s oldest motorcycle toy run. Thousands of bikers from across Northern California will be bearing all manner of stuffed animals, bicycles and assorted toys to donate to the Toys for Tots Foundation. The run will depart from the Sacramento 6 Drive-In, 9616 Oates Road, at noon for a short ride, the drive-in will sell food/hot drinks, vendors, live music, and an opportunity to visit with friends from around the state.
The “original” toy run, as MMA members are quick to note, is now in its 36th year. In conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve’s Toys for Tots Foundation, the MMA’s 200-plus motorcycle clubs from Northern California and their roughly 2,000 members pay a $5 entrance donation fee along with at least one new, unwrapped toy. The result: more than 2,000 presents for Sacramento area children who wouldn’t otherwise have a Christmas.
The MMA is pleased to announce that it has teamed with West Wind, owners of the largest drive-in theater business in the country. The MMA believes that this teaming will assist in keeping the American tradition of drive-in movies alive for your family, children and grandchildren. Come out and see for yourself why West Wind drive-in theaters are the best value in family entertainment.
The Modified Motorcycle Association is a charitable corporation, established in 1973 and operated for the benefit of all motorcyclists. The MMA’s goals and objectives are to make the sport of motorcycling safer and to protect the rights and interests of the motorcycling community.
MMA is the first organized motorcycle association in the nation to sponsor motorcyclists’-rights legislation, employ a lobbyist and provide access to legal representation for all members.
