Man shot in attempted robbery in so. Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA - A man in his 2's was shot after refusing to give robbers money Thursday just after 9 p.m. near the Stone Gate Apartments.

The victim and his brother were walking near Mack Road and Center Parkway when a group of teens, 16 to 19 years old, tried to rob the brothers, said Sacramento police Sgt. Don Crye.

18th Annual Doggy Dash now being called the 'Soggy Dash!'

18th Annual Doggy Dash now being called the 'Soggy Dash!'
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday, June 4th for the Doggy Dash, or as it is now being referred to as the "Soggy Dash!" It may have rained ALL day, but despite everything, the event raised more than $170,000 for the animals at the Sacramento SPCA. We were amazed (and proud!) of the number of pet lovers who braved the weather with us!

We hope to see everyone next year, for the 19th Annual Doggy Dash in 2012. A date has not yet been established, but we're crossing our fingers (and paws) for sunshine and blue skies!
